With over 25 years of healthcare experience, much of it in the payment integrity space, Steve has dedicated his professional career to developing and leading innovative industry solutions. Steve has overseen the launch, advisement and scale of Goodroot-community businesses that lower patient costs and remove financial waste from the healthcare system.
Steve spent the first ten years of his career taking on increasing levels of responsibility at Oxford Health Plans, a United Healthcare company—specializing in claims adjudication and accuracy, and later tackling payment integrity in emerging high-cost trend areas, including specialty pharmacy and fraud, waste and abuse. Steve later co-founded WayMark Associates, an innovative claim overpayment identification and recovery firm that worked on behalf of health plans. After the successful sale of WayMark Steve held senior management roles within Emblem Health, Cotiviti, and Clarity Software Solutions before joining the Goodroot community of companies.
